People say they look alike...maybe its the hair.Mitch came to visit earlier this week and while it was a short visit, it was good to see him. It seemed to sink in that he was really and uncle and he enjoyed spending time with Carson. Mitch and his girlfriend, Krissy were here for just about 24 hours before heading north to meet friends for a week at my parents and at the beach house. We spent some time getting him some good Mexican food which is lacking in South Carolina and then took a long walk at the beach. It was sad to see Mitch go and I think he was pretty sad to say goodbye to Carson, but maybe he will visit more now! I took some video with our new camera and am playing with the editing functions. Other news - Carson had is 1 month doctor appt and all is well. He is now 23 1/4 inches long (85th percentile), 11.4 lbs (95 th percentile) and his little head is in the 40th percentile but growing fast - up from 20th percentile last month. Poor little Pinhead. Is it mean that I have started calling him Carson Littlehead? I say it really nicely so he won't know. I'm sure he'll catch up soon and then I can't tease him anymore. Like my cousin Karly said, in our family the kid is doomed to be made fun of, so why not get him used to it.
The doctor also said it would be ok for Carson to sleep 6-7 hours without eating, which is fantastic, except she had no advice how to actually get him to do that. In my dreams, or lack thereof.
We managed to get a 5 1/2 hour stretch of sleep out of him a few days ago. I was so happy! He hasn't done it since and I am suspicious it was because of the nice warm bath he got before bedtime. I'm trying that again tonight after my bad sleep night last night. We started giving him a bottle too so Andy has started feeding him on the weekend nights some to give me some more sleep. This definitely helps get me through the rest of the week. Anyhow, here's the video, make sure to turn your volume on, I don't want you to miss a moment!
